Has anyone got a good photo of the gun travel lock on the above when it is not in use. The Italeri instructions are not clear about this and i can' t tell if it drops unto the front of the vehicle and how it is fixed.

Yes, it lowers toward the rear onto the front deck. Nothing is there securing it, like a strap or hold-down. It is also powered so that the crew does not need to dismount to lower/raise it.

Here is a pic that shows it from Prime Portal.

Hmm. Works the same way as the AS90 barrel lock, also fully automated.

Thanks for the photo Gino. Is the travel mount actually resting on the vehicle or is it suspended slightly above the deck. With such a long gun can the vehicle be driven without the travel lock in position

The travel lock sits on a rubber bump-stop pad on the engine deck, part #66 in the Revell kit that I have. The gun is not usually driven around out of travel lock.

Glad to help. Not me in the photo. It was from Prime Portal, no idea who it is.

It IS a gret kit, but even so has several glaring errors, thankfully all of which are relatively easy to fix. Foremost among them are the bore evacuator and the missing armor over the driver's hatch. I can send you a list if you like. I've also got several interior shots.
