I just read a book on WWII Military Trucks and Soft Skinned Vehicles and was wondering if anybody knows of any kits of any Krupp, TATRA, VW German, Dodge, Bedford, Humber orBantam vehicles in 1/35 scale. I know Tamiya makes a Kubel and Schwimmwagen. There was some really neat subjects with pictures etc. and I can feel the scratch-building/conversion itch for a Bedford QL with a W/T body and radio crew set up from 51st Highland Division. Hmmmmm. Maybe I better go lie down before it gets terminal.

Tamiya used to make a Krupp Protze 4x4 truck. You can still find the kit fairly easily.

Skybow and Italeri have Dodge 6X6 and 4X4's. Tamiya have Krupp Protz. Accurate armor have Bedford (I Think) Roy Models has two Dodges. CMK have Canadian Military Pattern (CMP). Also I think I can remember one of the companies from the CMK area having a radio body conversion set for the QL Beddy.

tatras as well as other staff cars exist in resin and PE. I saw them at blast-models . They look nice but they are very expensive !
I jus built a 1/72nd scale tatra 57K by attack models. that's realy a tiny kit.

Italeri Builds the Dodge jeep with the 37 mm antitank cannon
If you look here and there in modelshops and on the web You`ll probaly will find some opel trucks Like the maultier and the Opelblitz
Tamiya made the Deuce and a halfs And I believe they made a repro of it because a small modelshop where I come very often had a couple of them.
tamiya also makes as already said the Krupp protze
If you look around You`ll probably find a lot of vehicles that are very funny to built or to scratch or to convert

CMK has several variations on the VW bug theme, with a desert version, an ambulance, a gas generator, and a basic bug. Maybe one or two more.

You can probably find any softskin you like from the expensive resin companies. Criel Model seems to make quite a few, though I have never bought any of their stuff. I can vouch for Model Victoria's Fiat 500 Topolino, however. It's a great little kit, but again quite expensive.
