This has probably been addressed elsewhere, but I don't have time to look for it. Apologies to any offended persons.
What should I use to thin PollyS acrylics for air brushing? Will the ModelMaster thinner work, or is there something that will work better? I have heard alcohol/water mixes mentioned; can anyone give me more info?
Thanks for the help!

Usualy, alcohol works great for acrylics !
Also, it's much cheaper than dedicated thinner... (:-)

I don't get it.... I always use water as thiner for acrylics with no problems.
What's the need for a specific (and exppensive) thinner, for acrylics.

My nickels worth...
Myself, I use the water because I fear acrylic drying in my airbrush tips (shudder...). Alcohol thinned acrylics dry too fast for me!
I don't see the need for specific MM acrylic thinner. Save your $ where you can Use the water or alcohol.

What some modelers are not aware of, is that Poly Scale is a SOLVENT based acrylic.
And even though you can use water & alcohol to thin it .......Poly Scale's own brand of thinner is highly recommend because it provides the paint with it's OWN compatible solvent, which in turn results in less surface tension for better washes & better paint adhesion & coverage especially when hand brushing Poly Scale acrylics.
IT''S VERY TRUE THAT : " You get what you pay for " So if you want some assurance and quality ............WHAT'S A FEW EXTRA BUCK'S GONNA HURT !
