Hi all, finally my 251/17 Schwebelafette reached the finish line. The model was build out of the box with a few extra's on the right outside and the inner (back) side just behind the seats. The kit was great quality for less money (paid around 18 euro's for it by hobbyeasy). The 251/17 is done in the version of the Führer's Brigade in Luxembourg 1944. The white wash i made from white pigment powder, blushed with a soft brush.
I hope you like the pictures (made them with my new camera) but as always your'e comments are welcome........

Looks good Eric! Specially the blue helmet on the front and back. I like the faded white effect.

Funny thing is that I just readed a story about the Führer-Begleit-Brigade in the Ardennes on:
http://www.axishistory.com/index.php?id=6141 So it's very nice to see a model of it!!

Were the decals from the kit or did you buy them seperatly as AM decals?

Now a nice dio??

Eric,

Thanks for posting. It looks great to me. I like the white wash effect. Did you just brush on the white pigments or mix them in some type of wash solution? I'd really like to find out your technique.

I've got this same kit on my wishlist and this just makes me want to place the order now.

Hi Eric

Great build you have there.
The white winter wash looks pretty good.

Thanx for your comment guys , Frank the white wash is done with white pigment powder after givin' the model the three tone camo. After blushing the powder you give the model a wash to look a bit older. At the same time your pigment is getting in the model and looks pretty good. After drying you could bring on the powder for the second time and just blushing lightly or let the model as it is after the washing. Thats all.
