I planning on building the following trucks, I have a lot of strach building to do, so I need some good pics or refineces.
First,
I got ahold of the old Revell Military Wrecker kit and I was going to mount the bed of it to a M923 to ma a M936 like the FSM artical a couple of years back, WRONG!!!!!
it looks like I'm going to have to strach build the bed of the truck and "maybe" I can use the crane from the revell kit, but I need more detail shots

Now for the big project:
I'm also wanting to build a M920 METT, and a M870 trailier to go with it I have made scale drawings of them both, but I need to have pics of smaller details. Its going to be a big project so I could use all the help I can get

I hope someone who works in a motor pool or a CSMS unit can help after 9/11 I can't get into the CSMS unit here nor can I stand outside the fence and take photos
Thanks

Those boys won't let you in down at Montgomery? Have you tried the 731st at Tallassee?

The wrecker in the M936 series is different from the wrecker in the old M816 series. It's not as simple as pulling the bed off one and putting it on another. I do believe I have an 800 series 5 ton wrecker awaiting disposition. I know I have a 936, several in fact. Have you seen the photos of my motorpool in the gallery?

I'll have to check to see if I have a METT, I don't think so.

Yes I did. I've been through most of Kithobbyist's website, that's where I won my Tiger I from.
Thanks DJ.

I do have an M920 and M870 as well as two M816ww and an M936ww and an M936A2ww. I'll get the camera out to take some photos and post them later.

I could use some pics of a german Hanomag APC (sdkfz251/1)and an 8 ton semi-track.

Rob--you got me fired up to do the Stuart again. I have one that I completed with the markings of the 13th Armored at Kasserine Pass. Nice yellow identifcation band around the bottom of the turret. I was impressed by the website in that it provided details of the gun and the machine gun mounts. I am still debating the value of getting a brass 37 mm main gun. The AFV track is tedious to construct, but Boy does it look good! I bought a set for my next Sherman project which I hope will be their latest 105mm.

In that case... I'll take a few of the M60A2; and rebuild mine right!

Yoda---I built the Tamiya M60A2 a long, long time ago while in Germany. It was just like the real thing. Everytime I touched it it broke. I wonder if it could have made a terrific pillbox. But as a tank, no way!

The M60A2 has been out of use for nearly 30 years (or more DJ?). When I first entered active duty (1987), the tanks in use were the M551 Sheridan, M48A5, M60, M60A1 RISE Passive, M60A3TTS, M1, M1IP and the M1A1 was just coming on line. Only tanks left in use today are the M1IP, M1A1 and M1A2. I do have an M60A3 left, but it is a hulk used for the recovery course.

I've got the same tracks DJ, but haven't started them. The Nov-Dec Armor Magazine has an article about a Stuart found in the jungles of Haiti.
