Can anyone tell me if this would be a good purchase? I am talking about the one that varies in price from $450 to $400. (at least what I've read online)

Also, Testors makes one that is in the $200 price range with black metal sides. This seems more in my budget, but does anyone know the pros and cons of it?

Finally, anyone know who sells these things at discount prices?

Thanks for your time,

Felix

Hi Catman31, I bought my airbrush booth from Micromark. The booth cost me little over $300.00 after shipping but it seems to be identical to the Testors brand. The booth works very well at capturing the majority of paint fumes while airbrushing. I have a multi colored ring building up on my window screen from the exhaust. The only other thing you would have to buy is some 4" dryer hose (used for ducting exhaust for a clothes dryer). Other than that, the micro mark is well worth the money.

Dixie Art has the Artograph systems at good prices with free shipping if you are interested. I'm planning on getting the 1530 as soon as I can afford it.

Doing it on the cheap is fine but I don't think that a $200-$400 investment in my health is a bad deal, especially when my wife and 5 children's health is also involved as well.
