Hello, I have just completed my first model a Zevzda 1/35 T-34/76 1942.
It was built OOB apart from the tracks which I think are Tamiya which were sent to me by 18Bravo .
I airbrushed it using vallejo air Russian green,(Borrowed my dads airbrush!!!!!) it was weathered using Mig pigs and pastels.
The decals are Velinden dry rub stolen from my dads spares box .
Thanks for looking
Joe

That's a very good effort for the first model. The bent fenders and weathering present a good effect.

Oh stop, please! That's your first build? WOW! That looks great!
Tell us, what was it like for you building it? How'd it make you feel? What inspired you to build THAT particular vehicle? Was it the cool looking art that's on the box cover? Give us a the low down on what it was like to use an airbrush for the first time. I bet your dad is pretty proud of you huh?
Hope to see more! Keep up the good work!

Looks really good. Nicely painted, no silvering on the decals, nice subtle weathering, good metal effects. One minor thing, the engine hatch looks a bit askew in the second picture. The gap is much more pronounced than in the first picture. Other than that, no other construction issues or nasty seam or moldlines.
Leave it to John to notice that! :-)

Built that same kit about six months ago. You did a good job with a less than stellar kit.
Fine job and keep it up.

Thanks for all your kind comments in answer to your questions it was fun to build, I watched my dad build a 1/16 T-34 and the kit was only £3.00 :-) , as for the airbrush my dad got some scrap kits out of the loft to practice on, I was a bit nervous just in case i messed it up , my dads really pleased the way it came out . Theres a KV-1 on the bench for the big and beefy campaign I'll post some pics of that to when its finished.

Hi Guys
Joes chuffed to bits with your comments.
I've been try to get him to do a kit for ages, instead of playing xbox for hours
He watched me build the Trumpeter T-34 and I think it inspired him!
He wanted to do the same tank as me(in 1/35) ,so I picked up one on Ebay for 3 quid ,not the best kit to start with, but nice and cheap so if he lost interest no harm done or big cash outlay!!!
He did the build himself ,with me just supplying ,tools, paint, glue, brushes etc
and a bit of fatherly advice
Joe's also been looking at my Tony Greenland and Mig books with interest, and he's been to a couple of shows looking at other peoples work.
He was terrified of using my airbrush :-) so I grabed a couple of scrap tanks from the loft and let him loose with them in the shed.
Nice one colour basic schemes to start with, rubber tracks, no PE, BREAK HIM IN GENTLY :-) :-)
Right that should have embarresed him
:-) :-)
once again thanks team

Hi Joe,
Excellent work there young man. For your first kit it is very cleanly built and beautifully weathered and the transfers look terrific. Will you be putting it on a dio. Can't wait to see more of your work. Everyone gets worried about messing things up when you first use an airbrush, but you practiced first and it payed off.
Andy, you have now lost your workbench and stash :-) :-) , i know from experience as Courtney keeps eyeing my stash :-) .

Hi Joe,
Nice job! I loved your weathering of the body. I noticed a KV turret in the background, and will be looking forward to see that as well.
Cheers!
