I found some pics of a sherman flame thrower but want to find some more info and better pics of the whole tank{added fuel tanks for the flame throwers?}. Anyone have any leads on the web or books they can point me to please?

The Sherman "Bible" is the book by RP Hunnicutt. Find it at your local library. It is out of print and can run $200+ on the secondary market.
This site has some info on the Marine use of the Sherman flamethrower: http://www.nps.gov/wapa/indepth/extContent/usmc/pcn-190-003131-00/sec6.htm
Some Shermans fired the flame from the main gun position (dummy barrel), some tanks had the coaxial machine gun replaced by a flame gun (as done in the Dragon M4A3 HVSS POA-CWS-H5 kit), and others had the hull machine gun replaced by a flamethrower.

Good suggestions from Rob.
Also, about the flame fuel tanks -- most of the flame tanks carried the "flame fuel" in an internal tank. One notable exception (and there are always exceptions with Shermans) is the Sherman Crocodile. Here's a link to Steve Zaloga's nice Sherman Crocodile on Missing Links: http://www.missing-lynx.com/gallery/usa/szcroc.htm

Thanks for the input guys...funny thing...I saw the dragon kit on e-bay but the box art wasn't that good. I missed the auction but thought I could build my own since I couldn't readily find the kit again.
Robin, went to look for that book on amazon...lol...prices starting @ $300.00 and going up to $750.00ish...a rather hot commodity I see. We can only hope the book gets re-released again someday.
Thanks again guys!
