Here is a review of the both of them: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/tristar/tristar.htm
The Ausf. C is limited so will be harder to get in the future.

I got thier Ausf C and it's a beautiful kit, although a bit out of my league at the moment. Maybe when I get better at this I'll build it. And in Hong Kong it was cheaper than Dragon's IV's. Also, I believe there were some improvements made in the C, if I'm not mistaken.

Karl, although I haven't got Tristars D, I have read Terry's review, and I have Dragon's new D in front of me as I type. To be honest, the Dragon D wins hands down. I'll be putting a review up in the next couple of days, so you might want to wait and read that? For detail it's hard to beat separate bolts for the drive sprockets! Although if for some reason it must be Tristar................?

Separate bolts for the sprocket? I hope they have included the spanner to tighten them.. :-)

I have the Tristar D and the Dragon E. Both are excellent kits. Looking at them both, I would say that the Dragon would be the preferred kit...now that they have a D version. It looks to be a bit easier to build once you wade through the 3 in 1 directions

Hmmm.. there was really no fit issue with the E, depending on who you're taking to of course! :-) Then again, since the one you've ordered is a different tooling, it's academic really! :-) :-) :-)
