Heya, Folks,
Just picked up the 35th scale Dragon Wurfrahmen 251/2 for a great price...
Any tips or advice on building it? I normally do Allied/Pacific Theater armor, but I always thought that this set up looked cool!
Thanks!
Much Aloha,
Johnny B

Johnny,
have a read of this, and if you have any specific questions I'd be glad to try and help.

Thanks, Vinnie!
Much obliged for the link and the offer of assistance, sir! I may well take you up on the latter if I run into any snags... It looks like a great kit in the box.
Have a great weekend!!
And thanks again!!

Yikes, Pod!
That's a bummer, dude?
Would love ta hear what is giving you the problems...
Haven't quite started in on mine yet --- my 1:1 scale (19) week old son gets first crack at my free and not-so-free time!
Hang in there, Pod --- keep us posted on your progress!

Pod,
it may be easier to describe using this build of the 251/17
251/17 build
it's basically a piece of plasticard with two lengths of styrene H'beam stuck to it to place the link between.

hi vinnie many thanks for the link i did read that articule last night and see the jig you speak off for making the tracks , could you please tell me if the two rods are set the track width apart or do they just rest on the top as if so i cant see how you can get a straight edge and its a bit diffuclt to fully see from the pics .
johnny, the problems i,ve been having so far are that every piece of plastic on the sprue,s has at least one extra piece of plastic on it if not 3 or more and you have to keep checking that your not about to cut off the wrong piece , i,ve made a couple tamiya 251,s and these were a lot easier although maybe not as detailed , i,ve made the floor section along with the benches and stuff but despite checking the instructions again and again to see if everything is in the right place which it is there is no way a 1/35 man is going to fit in there as there isn,t room between the bench.s for he,s feet i got 5 men in my tamiya one
i would post some pics but my camera is crap and dont really show the problem i,ll percivier with it and see what happens if any one has any advice i,d be grateful thanks

Pod, the guide horn for each link goes into the gap between the two H-Beams, so keeping it straight.
I know what you mean about all those litlle bits of 'extra' plastic on Dragon sprues, but don't forget, if it wasn't for them you would have lots and LOTS of knock out, and ejector pin marks to fill!
Vinnie

thanks ken and vinnie i see why the extra plastic is there now, there is no doubt the kit is far more detailed than a tamiya 251 for sure and i,m looking forward to placeing it next to my tamiya one and comparing the differance
still not looking forward to the tracks!!!!!!

All I want to know Pod is if you have managed to stick your fingers to the tracks yet?
