First airbrush help

Hi guys can anyone help i recieved a paashe cc for christmas its my first real airbrush.My problem is the instructions are verybasic to say the least, to operate it says open the curled nut at the rear of the handle to set paint flow press the button and your rocking and rolling, guess what ,plenty of air no paint ok open up the nut further still no paint.being a tinkerer i undid the nut near the needle tip I got paint, but its intermittant can anyone help me, by the way I do not have a compressor yet so Im still on the cans #:-)

Do you have your air can in some warm water? Is your paint thinned enough?
I'm no expert, but that's where I'd start looking.

I agree, the main culprit here may be not thinning the paint enough. Depending on the type of paint, you want to make it a little more "watery" with a solvent like airbrush thinner for enamel or rubbing alcohol (or water) for acrylics.
Keep trying, you'll get it sooner or later, and above all, have fun!!!

many thanks for your help, I was using craft acrilics thinned with water, afriend of mine suggested using screen wash. I will give it a try and as you say "have fun" #:-)

If that still doesn't work, drop a line back. I've never worked with craft acrylics so I really can't comment on the most effective way to use them.

try denatured alcohol, you can get a can from your hardware store in the paint section, also try your valve adjust ment and if that doesn't work its time for the strip and clean. there may be some kind packaging or debris in the brush. stug
