just got the academy tiger 1, early version, #1386. haven't done any ww2 axis before, so any tips on paints and pe?

Nice articles. I've build the Tiger I early as well. Especially the interior was great to work on.
I've build it OOTB and I'm satisfied with the result. Of course you could use a PE set for some extra exterior detailling.

If you are looking for an accurate build, you have a lot of work ahead of you. The interior is basicaly correct but has a long way to go to be right. If you are looking for a fun build then this is a good kit. I've got several pics in my gallery of mine if you care to take a look.
