This is an intersting looking one with the glass shield(in the front). I assume this is bullet proof? Are these becoming popular in Iraq now? Cause we keep reading about how under-armoured the humvees over there are.

That certainly is an interesting looking hummer. Almost looks like a fish tank.
I'd hope his vision is not impaired when it starts raining considering that its lacking vital windscreen wipers.

Actually, it looks like there is no glass shield on the front side (the MG's side). The glass is only on the sides and the rear. That would make a nice looking conversion.

It's just some officer who is annoyed by the draught. :-) :-) :-) :-)

If you save the pic and enlarge it yo'll' see it's a female in there.
Does any on know what that building is, by the way?

No this is not standard. This would be a in-theater rigged Humvee. Judging by the speakers (and the female since they are not allowed in Combat Arms units (Infantry, Armor, Artillery)) this is probably a civil affairs unit though it could be an MP unit (something I doubt).
As for the building, I would also surmise that it is a government building given the size and "grandiose" but I am guessing. Also note the burn marks coming out of the windows which adds to the probability that this is a government building.

Smoke Grenades?...are those now standard on up-armored HUMVEEs. Dragon should come out with another 1/72 HUMVEE like this.

Besides the turret armor, there are now MG shields as those in the pics, but with bullet proof panes of glass built in on each side.

This is why the USMC wants a fully-enclosed turret (preferably with smoke grenade launchers) for their Humvee replacement akin to the British Armored Cars and seating for six. The Army never said anything, just that the Army thinks replacing the Humvee sounds like a good idea :-).
Now the Humvee replacement effort is joint USMC and Army.

Actually, the glass is the ballistic glass windsheilds from destroyed uparmoreds. An NCO came up with the idea of mounting the glass around the turret like that to provide the gunner with a bit more protection without imparing his/her vision.
