Just got my hands on the Italian AB41 from Italeri and was wondering if there was anything out yet in aftermarket items??
Mainly items like gun barrel and resin wheels?

There is a set of wheels, unfortunately, who makes them escapes my senile mind.

For what concerns the wheels you've got a few choices:
- the "Libya" resin ones from a Canadian producer (I can't remenber their name but the logo on the side of the tire is wrong and needs to be sanded away)
- the "Libya" resin ones from Creielmodel which are correct and replace both the rim and the tire
- the - the "Libya" resin ones from
Italian Kits which are correct and just fit over the Italeri's rim. On top of that the set comes with two more tires with a used look
- the "Lybia" and the "Artiglio" resin ones from Historica Production, that are correct
Consider that the decals provided with the kits are not right at all and are only for Axis subjects operating in Europe. If you want something in Africa you have to look for the ones from AWD.
In Africa the Army ones were all vith the Libya tires, the one of the PAI (Polizia dell'Africa Italiana - or colonies police) used the Artiglio (the one coming with the Iteleri kit).
The Italeri kit has some other problems to be corrected like the engine grids that are wrong and the rivets on the turret that should be the same diameter ad the ones on the hull.
The Eduard PE set is not 100% right, and some parts are pure fantasy (like the exausts supports).
If you need some more info try to have a loook here:
- In action pics
- some AB41 preserved in Italy
I hope this can help. If you need more pse contact me!
Ciao

I forgot to tell you that the gun barrel is nothing special, you van replicate it perfectly using a 2,5 mm brass or copper tubing...
If you follow this link http://www.modellismopiu.net/m+photo/showgallery.php?cat=1767 and you are willing to "dig a bit" in the gallery you'll find some models too...
