I am in the process of building the Italerei LVT4, and want to open the drivers hatch, unfortunately the photos I have and the only book (AMTRACS in action), I have, do not give a clear picture of the hatch open. I have seen somewhere on the net a close up photo of a hatch open but cannot find it. Any suggests where I can find a photo of the LVT4 drivers hatch open? And how to go about converting the hatch?
In anticipation. Going crazy trying to solve this dilemma.

Gday Tony!
Let me get this right~ Your question is in regards to how the hatch is 'positioned' when open? Not what it looks like on the inside of the hatch?
Cheers
Brad

Brad, I probably wasn't clear enough. I require to know the setup inside the hatch, so it is as accurate as I can be when the hatch is open. I know there is a pull down bar because the hatch was not spring loaded; what does the periscope look like?, etc.
Thanks for your prompt reply.

Had a good look around, and had no luck finding a perfect pic... I know that there is the large handle with a bend in it, and the periscope is a standard Sherman one, on a rotating mount... Other than that, I think it is devoid of much other detail... I'll keep searching!
Cheers

Brad, Frenchy, thank you very much for your help. I do appreciate it. The photograph you suggested, Frenchy is the one that I was searching for and could not find. That is the No 2s position, yes? So I take it that the driver's hatch set-up would be the same?
Thanks once again.

I'm no amtracs expert, but I would say you're right ...
