All,
I know that the M60 tanks with dozer blades have the hydraulics on the left rear fender and all, but what about when fitted with the mine rollers or plows? Is there any hydraulics for them? Do I have to do anything more than glue the gear on the the glacis and bow of the tank?
And what about the Abrams? When any of the same type gear is fitted on any M1 thru M1A2 SEP, is there anything else that needs to go on the track?
TIA

The mine plow is not hydraulic, it is electrically powered. The power cable goes through the driver's right vision block. The periscope is removed and the cable threaded through the open space. Newer M1A1AIM and M1A2SEP have a power port out side for the cable to connect to.
The mine roller just attaches to the front and is not powered in any way.

Current mine blade and roller systems do not require any further modificaions on the tank. Blade is raised and lowered electricly with winches attached to it. The roller is held down by its weight and does not raise/lower other than as it goes up and down with the lay of the land. Both simply attach to the existing tow/lift rings of the Abrams with pins and bolts.
