Hello

Does anyone have any idea how viable it is to try to put the Academy Full interior into one of Dragons 3 in 1 Tigers?

I have an initial Tiger ready to build and was just toying with the idea.

Cheers

Ian

Hi Ian,
Personaly, I wouldn't do it. IMHO, Academy's interior is very basic at best and wrong in a lot of ways. I had to combine TWS Tiger I interior, Academy's and lots of scratch building to get it close. If you are just going to open the hatches to see the interior, it might work, but if you want an accurate interior, I don't think so. Just my two cents worth.

Hi Jesse

Thanks for that, it's just a thought... I'm not adverse to trying to enhance it with some scratch building as I envisage it to be a long term project that I build alongside some more regular stuff. I have found a couple of sites that reference the errors in the Academy interior and will also have a look for info on the TWS interior. Do you have any photos of your completed work?

Hi all, I added the Academy interior to my late Tiger because I was doing a few hatches open, It doesn't look too bad!

The only problem is that you have an early interior (even Academy's mid production is the same interior) in a late version and they are different. But if you are just looking through the hatches it might get by.

I think this really depends on how detailled you want your model to be.

Personally, I wouldn't mind putting that interior into a dragon model. It may not be 100% accurate but for me it's good enough.

So, this is really up to you!

Jesse, your interior looks nice. If I do anything I hope mine looks as good. I am aware that the interior is only for an early, hence I am hoping to put it in Dragons inital. I am glad to hear that others have ported it over with some success. Thanks for the input.

I think the Academy interior would greatly enhance an open hatch Tiger of any make. I'm sure you can purchase the tank kit on line for far less money than one of the resin aftermarket versions.

Hi, all I know the Academy interior is for the an Early Tiger, but it just provides some eye candy when you look through the open hatches!
