Well, after a few weeks, I have made progress on my Bradley. The brackets for the frontal armor where added and so was the side armor.

I still need the TOW Launcher, tracks and lower side skirts to finish then I will start adding paint to this thing.

I have till the 29th of April to finish being that I am gonna enter it in the Austin show that day.

Thanks again goes out to Pawel for his great article, Olivier for sharing his references, and to Gino for his part in this project.

Damn, Pete!
This is hard core modelling!
You should put an X-rated lable on this one :-) . It will be VERY interesting to see it finished. One question about the real thing: With all that extra armor, how is the vehicle performance affected?

Thats a good question Erik, but I haven' thad the privilage to get my hands on the real thing. I might not be able to since our Division is going Light and a majority of our Bradley's are going away.

Pete

Impressive -- the workmanship and pics speak for themselves.

This would make a great feature article or Models on Display for the site, once you get it done (hint - hint

Keep us posted. Nice stuff here!

Thanks guys for all your kind replies!

I just like my models to be as acurate as possible with out going to overboard. So with that, to the RIVET COUNTERS, I know I left some stuff off and not every bolt is accounted for. I want to have fun, not go insane. Being that I have all the manuals and a Bradley at my disposal, I could have added every single bolt to my babd boy.

I'm hoping next weekend I will add some paint and bring it to life.

Pete, as you mentioned you have the manuals and...hell a 1/1 scale model! In my opinion, you are the rivet counter! :-) :-)

I don't see how I could have any criticizm. However I do have a question, are you adding the fruil model tracks?

Jeff,
OH YES I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually wanted to get the BLAST road wheels to go along with it, but i didn't want to wait for them. I think it will look ok with just the tracks and the kit wheels.

Just an added note on the frontal armor brackets: I really did a rush job on these. I was tossing around and idea in my head about making a jig for these brackets so they can all come out the same. But since I am attaching the forntal armor on the top of them, I just quickly bent them to shape and glued them down. They shouldn't be that noticable under the armor.

Ehhh, Pete... This is the understatement of the year... You are a "rivet counter" and yes, you are "insane" ... This is just like alcoholisme... You must realise that you actually have a plastic/resin/PE problem before you can start the healing process...
:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Erik

PS. This is a good and healthy disease. Don't try to fix it...

It's rumored Pete has plastic shavings on his diet and does Tenax 7 shots at parties.

Excellent progress on the Brad Pete...I'm sending mine down to you so you can get started on it too.

Hi Pete,
I'm back in the game to see you've done an amazing job on your Brad. It's splendid even before the painting job.

Thanks for your comments about my refs, you've just omitted they were yours in first hand :-)
The glacis brackets are awesome and I must warn you about becoming insane, I fear it's too late

Would be pleased to see the next updated.

Yes. In your case it'd be called a deployment :-) . But just like real rehab, that doesn't always work (ergo the Afghanistan modelling club).

Wow Pete this is one intense model. I hope this makes the rivet counters happy. I lost count. :-) This is going to be a beautiful example when you are finished.

Wholly Crap!
Is that what the winners in the 'Super-Duper Detailed' category look like under the paint?

Great work.

I will humbly slink back to my OOB world now...
