What is the correct hinge for the drivers hatch on a 3ID M2A2. Looking at my books lots of M2A2's/A3's seem to have the tube shaped hinge but I noticed both Olivier(bison126) and Pete(EPI) built a new rectangular shaped hinge-what do I need? Idealy using the kit part would be easier.

Rob,
Go with your reference, you'll never go wrong.
My Bradley is gonna be a 1st AD vehicle being painted 3 tone camo with the extra armor being painted tan. The references I have show most of their vehicles with the new drivers hatch.

Problem is all my references are either of M2A2's in Europe or M2A2's from Iraq but not sure which division. I have no pics of what I know is defiantly 3ID vehicle so am a bit stuck.

Rob,
Give me a little bit of time today. One of the guys that works here with me just came back from Iraq a few months ago and he as a ton of pictures from over there. He has a folder of 3rdID pictures as well. I'll see what I can find.
In the mean time, Gino would be the perfect person to ask since he was with 3rd ID.

Rob, either hinge set-up is correct for a 3ID vehicle. We brought and drew M2A2s in all levels of ODS mod. No two were the same. Some had the new hinge, others the old. You could see these vehicles next to eachother in the same section as well. That is one of the beauties of modeling 3ID vehicles, almost anything goes.

Thanks for the info guys. Now I have to decide whether to be lazy and use kit part or build the newer bit
Some pics would be really useful Pete! Cheers
