This may show my age, but is it a Dragon anti-tank missle? We were still throwing rocks and making bronze swords whe I was discharged.

This thread bugged me and bugged me cus I knew I had a photo of this object somewhere. Well, I finally found it.
This is also from OIF1 and I remember asking a knowledgeable person about this when I was researching this for my book and the answer I got back then was this was a Javelin. In this photo you can see two stacked up on the back of the Humvee.

Thanks for solving this mystery Bob ! I had vainly tried to find a picture of a Javelin packaging when the "Javelin lead" popped up....

I'm in for Javelin, doesn't look like any piece of engineer kit that I've come across. Packaging at first reminded me of our eryx missile packaging. Check this pic out [url]https://www.combatreform.com/javelinpackframecarry.jpg]
Check out the end caps and compare.
Ray..P.S. for the guy talking about the Canadian buck, if the rates keep going, We'll be asking that of the greenback LOL
Cheers

No idea why it is shaped the way it is. Maybe someone with more knowledge will come along and enlighten us.
