Worked on this for most of the day now.i have just about finished with the weathering.tryed a totaly new method, instead of using oil washes i used mig powders mixed with water and tamiya buff also thinned with water.
first i applyed the mig powder using european dust and and sand all over the tank.once dry i took a stiff brush and begain taking off most of the powders .then i gave it 2 washes in the buff colour.also gave it a few coats of dead flat so i could handle the model without getting any finger prints on.
sorry about the size of the pictures
thanks
karl

That looks great Karl. Looks like your new method, of weathering, is very effective.
When I have used pastels or mig powders, I have been reluctant to give the model a flat coat, in fear of ruining the dusty look. It looks as if your Tiger still has the dusty flat look. Did the Mig powders look any different after the application of the flat coat?
