Well, this one should have been finished months ago, but lack of motivation made me put it away and build some thing else for a while. Now the motivation is back and I'm making some progress. For those of you who has not seen my earlier updates this is Tamiyas old M-577 converted to a NM-198, a Norwegian C2IS vehicle for Battalion level and up. This vehicle serves as part of the commandpost and have everything you need to direct modern combat.
I have started on the "brain" of the vehicle, the rear compartment where all the "goodies" are installed. The vehicle comes with even a Sony soundsystem installed, so it is pretty different from anything else I have served on :-)
Most of the stuff are just blue-taced to the hull for dry fitting, since the paint job will be a bi@@h. Here are the pics so far.
As you can see there are tons of work left, but with motivation restored it is fun to build it again. As usual are all comments and questions welcome.
More pics here
Cheers
Erik

This is a Norwegian built vehicle, so we are the only ones with this particulary setup. An ordinary M-577 is much more simple with very little interior compared to my "armoured entertainment center". I have several hundred pictures of this one since it is the one I command, but I have to check with our S-2 if I'm allowed to share interior pics.

I used the floor from a Tamiya M-113 kit nr 35040 and modified it with a PE set from Eduard.

Now this is a load of -----"Magic "
Have seen this grow and grow ---and for a modeler (who twists my arm often)and tries to get me to do bang-bangs ----he 's got the ""FORCE""now :-) :-) :-)
Doing a grand job ------didn't blame him for putting it down for a bit--very involved and lots of "wee"bits
Sooo now you've had a rest --GET ON WITH IT!! or my "pushy-thing" will be done before you!!
:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
aye

This is starting to look very nice Erik!
It's time you did a tutorial on how you do your scratch stuff.
Em, (curious about Steve's comments) how many scratchbuilds have you done?

Ehhhh, don't think so Murdo, since I cheat. I only scratchbuild stuff I have in the garage, so every time I'm stuck I go down with a tape measure, my camera and a note book. It is pretty easy after that. BTW, this is my second scratch project ever, so I consider my self a newbee to this type of work, but it is fun for sure.

Wow. That's a lot of gear shoved in a M577. Nice scratch details.
I wish someone made a treadplate to spare the cost of having to buy a whole Eduard set just for the floor.
Are we going to a see a monoxide warning sign in Norwegian?
Paul

Sorry Paul, but the Warningsigns are the original American ones.
