What year and M number is this?
I'm going to do this truck using the AFV M35 and the Hobby Fan rear deck.I drove one a few times back in the late '80s so I'd like to try to build it.
Any help would be great.

M62 perhaps. I don't think you can use your M35 for that, as it doesn't have the M35 "look." Unless of course you're just doing something close.

I do believe that this is the old M 62 gas five ton. You would have to convert the AFV Club to a five ton cab and use the Italeri M 925 series kit for the chassis and wheels.

Concur. It is an M62 5-ton wrecker. It is a '60's -'70's wrecker as well. 1980's wrecker would most likely have been an M816 5-ton wrecker built on an M800 series chassis. This could also be built using Animal's conversion method with a little difference in the hood, grill, and air cleaner placement.

You could use the M 34 Revell kit for the cab. The M 62 had the hard top and the Revell kit comes with the hardtop.

You would still need the Italeri kit for the rest of the truck and wheels

Definttely an M62. Is that at Chilliwack? the moss and rain would suggest that location. If thats where ist is, then it is an M62 as i was involved there way back when in early plans to have one stuffed and mounted.

Paul,
Just an update.
Went out to see the truck and get some measurments from it and I noticed it had a name on the side.On the side engine cover was the name "Sea Island Hooker".I missed it the first time I took pics as it is really faded out. With that name I assume that it was the origianal 12 SVC BN wrecker.
