Ok, I think it's supposed to be a spare vision block, but can anyone tell me what part number B-36 is on the DML 251 series half tracks? It is a small block with a strap on it over a slightly larger hollow rectangle. It's mounted on the inside walls-both sides- just behind the driver/radio operator seats. Any help would be much appreciated!

B-36 on mine is a seat frame. (251/21 Drilling) Can you post a picture of the part?

Hi Al, it figures, I have two 251's, an older one, and one of the 3 in 1 kits, both parts are B-36. Any way, I can't scan it now, but I will later.

Ok, here is an other angle, open Vinnie's review of the pioneer version on the armor page, then open the second picture from the top. The part I'm refering to is between the brace, and the large storage bins. Vinnie has added a pe strap to the top part, and replaced the rectangular box with pe as well.

Hey Brian,

... The piece I think you are talking about is the plastic block with the " gold " PE strap and buckle. My /22 doesnt have this piece at all . . yet on Vinnie's ( and your's I'm assuming ) there are two...
I'll get back to lookin'
But I'm pretty sure there not vision blocks.

Ken

Ken, yes that's the part. I just can't figure out what it is! I have always wished that armor kit companies would label some of the odder parts in the instructions, kind of like they do on car kits.

Brian, got your PM! It's an Optical battery holder. :-) Possibly for the 'rabbit ears' scope, or anything else the vehicle might happen to have on board. Although most vehicles wouldn't have needed one.
