I know that the radios are on a shelf on the center post of the commanders seat, and that they were equipped with the PRC 77 and 25 radios, so was the PRC 25 a portable or vehicular kind. Also how was the antenna set up.

BTW: I'm doing an APC guntruck

Thanks,
Joe

Joe,
AN/PRC 25 and AN/PRC 77 were basically the same. The 77 was an upgraded/ improved 25. Externally, they look identical. Also, they could be taken out of the mount and have a battery case and short whip antenna added to become portable. Most I have seen had them hard-mounted with standard vehiclular whip antennes though.

Here's a pic.

Thanks Gino and Dave,
I knew the two were basically the same, only up graded, I just didn't know portable or vehicular mounted. Ok, then I'll go with the portable using either the tape antenna or the fishing pole antenna.

Thanks again,
Joe
