I'm about to start painting my KV1 mod. 1941 for the Big 'n' Beefy campaign.
I wanted to paint it like on this color profile:
But unfortunately I dont have the reference for any other side of this vehicle.
I think that those two variations would be the closest shots. I would also opt for the chevron pattern
as it would be more interesting,
But I wanted to pick up your brains about it anyway. Would those be very inaccurate?
Or maybe you guys can come up with something totally different based on the color profile
Any help would be appreciated .
Cheers

The lack of response is most likely due to a lack of reference amogst the crowd. Which ever way you have choosen to paint the KV1, it will be a nice change to the hoard of overall green KV's currently residing in our halls.
Looking foward to seeing it completed.

I think you must be right on the lack of reference.
Well I got the turret striped yesterday and I just masked the hull to be painted stripes this evening. If everything will go smoothely I hope I'll be able to post some pics of it then.
Oh, and I chose to pant it 'chevrons' style
Cheers

Lets see the pics
Sorry, I guessed I missed this one the other day. I too am looking forward to seeing it as I already have two green ones as well.

Hey Greg. I didn't see your post until today either. IMHO you made the correst choice about the Chevron pattern. I can't tell you about the accuracy because I haven't seen much on Russian camoflage patterns but it looks cool regardless. And with as many tanks as they built whose to say one really didn't get painted exactly that way? Can't wait to see how your's looks.

Is there any references for a KV-2 to have the white winter camo with the trees on it like some SU's had or the tire tracks like the T-34/76, 1941?
