After applying multiple filters, will the clear coat (for decals and wash) then post matte coat ruin the effect of the filter i applied?
I normally use future then humbol matte coat, will this be ok or should I use a different method?
Thanks
Rick

Shouldn't affect your filters at all. Good luck.

Greetings,
Clear and dull coats should have no effect on your filters. Only when using pastels or pigments should you take in consideration that dull coat will tend to hide the effect. BTW, filters should be applied over a dull coat otherwise the technique is more like a wash.
Hope this helps,
Chuck B.

I am sorry but this is incorrect. Filter work best over a satin coat.
Everything you wanted to know about filters but where afraid to ask

Sticky,
You responded to my post by stating that I was incorrect by stating that a dull coat was not the best base for a filter. My comment was taken right from Mr. MIG's web page about using same.
http://www.missing-lynx.com/rare_world/rw02.htm
In his article he states that over a dull coat, filters can be used with 100 percent effectiveness. He also stated that satin coats are ideally suited for filters. Is there really much of a difference? The way I read it both are good.
