Yes, but this one will come with special markings depicting that tank that would have replaced the Tiger I Michael Wittmann lost in Normandy. Workers in Germany used photographs of his Tiger I so they could replicate the markings onto his King Tiger before it arrived in France.yes another king tiger
A Cyber Hobby special edition will also be released that includes the train car that the King Tiger was to be transported on. The extras will include real tie down chains, resin chock blocks and an exclusive set of dry transfer shipping markings.

I think it will also include printed ration boxes of his favorite sausage and sourkraut that may have been placed on this replacement tank. Also PE for future bullet marks and battle damage, and expertly printed, dry transfer grafitti from when the allies will eventually capture it and spray a Kilroy picture on it. Lastly, a couple coffins to cart the crew off in too.
The Ultimate Tiger Kit....till someone puts out another with 2 more pieces in it. :-) :-)

No. It will be 1/72 to maintain forced perspective. This will be followed by the Limited Edition will include a mini servo motor to spin the prop and laser pointer fiberoptic set to simulate gunfire. A month after the reelase of the TLE, the Cyber Hobby Special will be anniounced with both of htese features as well as luminophospherescent tracer rounds strung along invisible thread and a 500 watt microamplifier and 5.1 surround sound nanospeakers to replicate the sound of the cannon, engine, bullet strikes and tank engine and treads. Verlinden wil then release a resin destroyed interior including the appropriate number of casualties and a patch for the CHS processor to include the screams of the crew.

This would be a super kit to get if you didn't already have a couple in the stash. I don't think everyone will rush out and get one like they did for the TIGER 1 kits, because the Tamiya has been around a long time and has /is an accurate kit. I already have metal grills, and a metal tube in the box for when I get around to it (I've had it at least 5 years now) Dragon seems to be cornering the market and over the next 10 years or so people buying a Porsche KT will select this one . So while we mock (and I enjoyed and laughed at the jokes) it is a good long term strategy. They want to have the best kit in the market of all popular sellers I'll lay odds that the Henschel version and the 3 main version Panthers will follow within the next year.

The new cupola is most welcome, as it is a very visible improvement for the finished model. The website says the kit will have new exhaust covers--I hope they mean the sheet metal exhaust pipe covers seen on many Porsche King Tigers rather than yet another retool of the armored housings. As far as I know, the only source for them now is the long out of production On the Mark Models photoetch kit.
Alas, it appears the new kit will not include the snorkel cover seen on early production tanks (which was retained on some test vehicles after they were rebuilt and issued to combat units, notably the 506th). If they tooled one, the new part could also be used on a premium version of the Panther D.
