Hey guys will the Aber Panther A/D grills work o.k. on the "old" Tamiya Panther A kit??

I don't know any reason they shouldn't, as for me, I would save the set to use on a "good" version panther and pick up a set of the Tamiya at the show in May or order from Lucky or easy in Hong Kong for $4-5.

I would be very dubious, I would bet they would not fit. It seems like any 1/35 Panther grill would fit on any Panther, but this is not the case. The original Panther is decades old. The square screens are probably no problem, but the raised circular ones might give you some problems.
Good luck, I agree on the first point, you can get a new Panther from Shanghai Dragon (Ausf G with IR gear for less than $20, and pick up either Tamiya or Dragon Panthers of any flavor for $25 - $35. Dragons' Special edition of the Ausf. A kit comes with metal barrel, metal tow cables, vacuformed side skirts, and PE screens for the intakes. You can get this kit for about $35.
Anyway, which ever way you go, good luck...
