Fellow Big and Beefy Participants
It's about mid way through the Russian Big and Beefy Campaign time frame, so it's a good time to give all participants some time to check in to see where they are, (or aren't

), on their Big and Beefy builds.
By the way, some completed pics have been posted in the Campaign gallery, (see the link below). Please post in progress pics in your own gallery, and post a maximum of three completed pics of your model to the Big and Beefy Campaign Gallery. With 77 participants, (and if all participants complete a model), this will be a "plump" gallery for your viewing pleasure!

Thanks
So where is everyone on their build??????
Steve

I am about half way through my build of the Italeri JS2. I’m trying to build out of the box apart from texturing and adding wire grab handles. It is hard to resist digging out those plastic engine screens and replacing them. I also know the tracks are woeful but I can't justify spending twice the price of the kit on a set of AM tracks, lots of mud and rubble in this tanks future.

My move to my other apartment took longer than I had expected, so my plans for a small dio got messed up.. at least for the campain. I can probably start working on my kit in a few days, so I hope I can finish it in time. I guess I can always do the dio later.

My KV-1E is about done. I screwed up the tracks and may start on a new build. Should be no problem. (++)

Slowly starting on my T-80UD m1991. Got sidetracked by a T-62M m2005 and a BMP-1 KSH command post. Maybe I will post one of those instead. :-)

Hello
I am still working and building on my BWP-1.
The turret is finished. I hope to get the hull finished this weekend and start painting next week.
Here is the link to my thread:
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/71650&page=1 I don't know what is wrong. I made 2 updates so far and still nobody gave a thought on how I am doing. Or what I could change more.
So lets hope I get more feedback this way :-)

Hello Andy
I also need a source for Blacken it in the UK, so if anyone knows a source it would be appreciated. I have however used Carrs Metal Black on some Friuls in the past. Its more available in the UK but its very expensive and the bottles are small

Man, how time flies, huh? Here is a quick pic of my Trumpeter KV-I Heavy Cast Turret. I haven't had a lot of time to work on it as I'm trying to tie up a few loose ends on some other projects. But I'm planning on being able to devote full attention to it in a week or so.
Nothing fancy .... added some beautiful Friuli tracks, Jordi Rubio gun tube and used about a jar of Mr. Surfacer 500 on both the armor plating and cast turret. I also mixed some MS500 with fine soil and clippings from some long scale grass to represent the turf accumulating on the undersides. (I've yet to add this concoction to the tracks, underside of the fenders and front idler wheels).
I still think I'm on schedule ....!
Thanks,
Mike
