Looks like it is coming along great as usual. Another piece of "Animal" excellence.

Thanks for the comments. It has been hard to find time to build lately. I used to be able to crank out a truck in about a week, but now it takes me a month.

Very nice. Your work is always inspirational. Even picked up the necessary kits to do a 5 ton of my own.

Dave, I'm just curious. As many of these 5 ton conversions as you do, do you totally scratch out each and every front end replacemet, or have you made a mold and have a bunch of the pieces ready made like hoods and aircleaner assemblies?

It depends on if I build one for me or for a customer. If it is for a customer I will scratch build it. I need the parts to be very crisp and my molded parts do not come as clean as I would like the to. I do use a mold for some of the add on parts, such as the air pre cleaner and booster can, the fuel filter under the left front fender and some of the seats. The hood and the new grill is from a new mold that I have made. The biggest problem I have is the fender section. I am not the greatest at making a two part mold.
