Hello,

I have seen a picture on the web of a Stug III G that had all solid roadwheels like the ones on the front of the Panzer L70A. Has anyone other pictures of this?

Thanks,
Sam

I haven't seen this photo, but it doesn't sound too possible. Pz lll wheels were larger diameter than Pz lV wheels and were mounted on torsion bar axles - Pz lV wheels were bogie mounted. I really don't think the two wheel types were compatable. And I have seen no pics of Pz/Stug lll with solid roadwheels. Maybe they were covered with a solid coat of dried mud?
On the other hand, I could be talking through my hat and be totaly wrong. I would have to see the pic.

There is a pic of this very vehicle in the Osprey book on the StuG III and StuG IV, hope this helps!
