Hi
I just bought the trumpeter's "sturer emil" and Voyager's PE update set.
I'm having a hard time bending the hinges on the fenders.
Does anybody have any tips or tricks concerning this?
In advance thanks
Erik

Hey Erik,
although i have not seen the Voyager set, one thing you could try is pressing down on the bend line with a steel ruler and using an old razor blade, or knife blade, slide that under the edge and bend the hinge like that. Alternativly you could try holding the hinge in a pair of tweezers and using a straight edge bend the hinge that way.
Not sure if either of them will be of any help, but i hope they are

thanks
I'll give it a try
The hinges are some interleaved type that should be bended around a 0.3mm wire.

Unless your want a working hinge... this is the easiest way I have found. Cut of all the tabs and glue the strips down as is you were gluing a already made hinge. Glue a length of very fine solder... Radio Shack has down .015 and you can .01 lead wire from a place that sells fly tying stuff. Stretched sprue works too. Make little cuts with a new, sharp hobby knife blade and Bobs' your uncle... a prefect piano hinge. Wish I had a better photo.

Did you check a couple of threads down? Tony posted this link on:
Working With Photo Etch
Tony shows the easy way to make hinges (operable, at that ).
