Hello All,
Hoping some one can help me out with some information. I need to know which Cavalier zimmerit set would be correct to use on a DML Panther A late version, kit # 6168.
Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe. I was searching for zimmerit for the late A recently and checked out both Cavalier and Atak. I went with the Atak as I thought it gave the best depth and best options. The prices were similar IIRC. Set # 35021 was what I bought. It gave the usual thin resin sheets plus a choice of whole panels like the front glaecias (sp?) and the storage boxes in the back, damaged with zimmerit molded on.

There are 2 sets of Atak Zimmerit for Dragon Panther A Late. One has a diagonal zimmerit pattern for the turret while the other set had the vertical zimmerit lines for the turret. So do check to see which one you want.

If you look for the Atak Zimmerit at this site, you should be able to see pics which show the difference between the sets.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the replies.
I was looking at Cavalier because it's resin and gave no thought of Atak because I thought it was photo etched.
Want resin so may look at other options.
Was looking at bidding on a Cavalier set on E-bay and the auction ends today. Perhaps I can get something worked out.
Any particular sets of Atak for the DML Panther A late, kit # 6168.
Thanks again for your time and advice.

Joe -
I've used both the Cavalier and Atak 'Zim' with both being excellent quality. Might put a slight edge to Atak for details, but basically can't go wrong with either. The resin set for Dragon Panther A from Atak, I believe is #35012, Panther A (Late, Type 1) is #35019, & Panther A (Late, Type II) is #35021. It is not cheap but definitely worth it. Hope this helps.

I use Cavalier, I've been picking it up for around $15 here. Generally the Cavalier will fit Tamiya, though they do make different sets to cover other brands. Most would ned a little bit of trimming to fit another brand. I used Cavalier on 2 so far with sets for three more in the boxes when I build the kits.

Thanks Guys,
Went ahead and rolled the dice and bid on the Cavalier set, so I'll see how things work out.
Thanks again to all for your time and effort in trying to assist me in this matter.
