Here are a couple of happy snaps of my Skybow Late Tiger 1. The kit was built OOB except for the tracks which I replaced with Skybow's individual link tracks.

Overall and amazing kit that is impossible to mess up.

Cheers
Darren

Looks great!

Couple of questions: Are the PE grill covers come in the box? Did you use Bison decals and if so, how are they?

Thanks Sean and a small apology is due. I forgot all about the engine grill covers which are from Hauler, the decals are from the kit however.

Cheers

Great bit of work there Darren. Nice to see some 48th scale models completed. How did you find the individual tracks to fit?

Skybow does make a fantastically great model of both the early and late Tiger l - IMHO the best in the 1/48 market. It's just too bad they're so slow in further releases.

Like many of us say, 1/48 adds and not detracts from our hobby. I love the choice that we can now make and this scale makes a really nice change as well as a different set of challenges in construction, painting and weathering.
Great job and beautiful project all round.

Exellent build Darren. I'M more into modern stuff but the Tiger has always impressed me. Love the paintwork

1/48 has been a hot topic lately. Is it more complex to build and detail than 1/35. I know there is'nt a great deal of difference in size but I've been contemplating a go at one.

Darren has done a great job with his version.

The Skybow kit is no harder to build than a larger scale model, and goes quicker than you might imagine. It is remakably detailed OOB.
