I noticed a new company, which caused me great delight, until I realised that they were basically producing the same products that I have been working so hard to develop over the past two years. While I'm all for competitive /free marketing, I don't really see the use in reproducing the same concepts very similar in content and nature. Several of the items produced by this fiorm, which I deign to mention, are still in development because of insufficiantly clear material. Copying posters ad Hoc is of no service to anyone. Our aim is to produce a finished product which means researched, graphically enhanced, and printed on fine grade, glazed, acid free paper. Ultimately quality always wins out in the free market place (or at least that is what they say) Todays market is a limited venture and becomes tighter each day. We at Dream Catcher shall continue to produce the best quality diorama accessories at the lowest possible prices, to provide you the modeller with the widest and most unique possible selection. Hopefully originality, counts and is eventually rewarded .

Hi Jack,
I didn't hear from you since you moved to Liechenstein !
Sorry to read that. I understand how you must feel. I'm not sure about your "quality always wins" adagio, though. I'm affraid there is a market for everything, and some people just think pennywise (and poundfoolish). I'm not as much worried by that. However, I am worried by people who just copy what others have done, and make life difficult to people who work hard to bring a nice product. What a shame.
I wish you a good 2003, though. With good health, and much love. Cheers, mate !

LOL Jack ! I wonder why everyone is so nice to me these last few days. I said some very naughty (but well meant) things about the American President, and instead of putting me on a one-way flight to Novosibirsk, you just keep saying nice things... :o

You did WHAT?? Bad General, bad General... !!! #:-) Now go and wash your mouth with soap...
Jacko, I'm sorry to hear that someone is copying your products. There are a lot of companies producing almost the same poster sets and a tipical modeler usually can't really tell which one is of better quality. Then the price factor plays a key role when deciding what to get... I suppose you haven't thought of getting a lawyer for this kind of things?

tough to enforce and expensive at the cutting edge. Hopefully common sense will rule out, as the overhead costs and investments for such adventures are enourmous if the job is done correctly. I have invested loads in grahics programs, and state of the art printers.

I just had to ruin it.
James - I know your pain. It's not the same but many of the other model sites seem to be copying my ideas and work too. Ahh well...what is that old saying??
Cheers,
Jim

Jim
Others may be copying your ideas but I haven't seen a site as well organized and easy to use.

Jack, I hope your buisiness won't be suffering too much from these people.
I also hope that the public makes them understand that inventiveness and quality, such as you've shown, are the keys so that us customers will keep on finding plenty of great stuff.
I saw with great pleasure that your products are now sold in a great shop in Paris : Blast-Models. Everybody there only has nice things to say about them.
cheers !
And plenty of luck for 2003 !

Ahh Jim, look at it as the ultimate compliment/flattery (make you feel better I hope) and remember it is also member support/content that makes a site and last time I looked you have one heck of a membership!
