The M88 is one of the coolest vehicles I ever saw. I remember I knocked on the hull with my knuckle (like knocking on a door). I expected to hear a metal "clunk" sound, but instead it was just like knocking on a concrete wall. I hurt my knuckle, and that was it. :-)
A looooong time ago, I decided to scratchbuild an M88. I still have plenty of detail pictures I took of an M88 somewhere in the 1980's in Germany. When I was about halfway making the hull, I realised I wouldn't be able to make the tracks and abandoned the project. Now I understand the M88 is available as a boxed kit, so I may give this a whirl. Maybe later this year ?

I believe the tracks can be bought as a separate kit from AFV Club.. But the whole kit is just awesome, plenty of parts, PE, separate track links, chains, wire and lots of plastic... I can't wait to start with it.

Yes, there are 3 boxed versions available: AFV Club Vietnam era M88; AFV Club modern M88A1; Revell of Germany NATO M88A1 (rebox of AFV kit with some German specific parts). Maki is right, AFV Club does sell the M48/60/88 (AF3505) workable track links separately. I picked up a set, you won't be disappointed.

Having spent almost four years in the 5th ID at Fort Polk Louisiana (Camp Swampy), I learned quickly to treat nicely those individuals that operated the M88s
I have AFVs M88, Eduard PE and MR's interior, all are "EXCELLENT", as Mr, Burns would say. Just got to get started
