It's really looking good Antonio! I do agree with Rob in that I think it looks just a little too brown. Like he said, mess around some on an old model or a piece of scrap plastic with your paint, that way you won't mess up the actual model.
Cheers,
Mike

Update
Ok,
Now it looks less brown.... better...
I'm going to start with the hull and Friul tracks are on their way to completion.

Perfection! That looks amazing, the correct IDF colour is a very hard thing to achieve, but this looks just right. Nicely weathered look and sporting the all to typical desert dust. Very good!
Those frius look nice and bulky, they will weather up nicely! Im enjoying watching your progress-its very good. Are you going to add any crew figures? Blasts IDF tankers would look very nice and they are nice and up to date aswell.

I made a very thinned mixture of medium grey (XF20) and (XF57) and sprayed a "mist" over the turret.
I had to protect the .50 MG.
It was just a bit but the results were apparent as soon as the mist settled.
It looked so good I took it to natural light just to check.
I was scared stif of ruining the work but it paid off.
Thx for your advice guys!
Well it's my second tank but in my days I made more than 100 1/72 planes, although I have to say I never got into these incredible details or used the techniques I see here.
If it wasn't for what I've seen in this site (pictures and articles) I could never found how to do it so quickly.
The resuls are a true tribute to the excellence of Armorama.
It's all here. Is just a matter of looking for it. From feature articles to the user galleries ALL is useful.
I'll keep posting the progress of the Merk. I'm glad that you guys enjoy it.

You kidding ! Of course we like it
You've done an excellent job on this one. Will it take place in a vignette or a larger dio ?

Thanks guys
I was hoping to submit it to this month MoM but other affairs got in yhae way.
The commander MG mount is incredibly complicated and I lost a lot of time with it.
To answer your question Olivier, I'm planning a base and figures for the crew (that I already have) but nothing too complicated or to big since there's not a lot of space around the house and I still have 6 or 7 armor kits to do and I need space (don't tell the Mrs. .She thinks I'm going to stop after this one :-) :-) :-) )

Nice kit Antonio.
If you would like my personal observation after spending time around the real things in the field I can tell you the colors do seem to vary a bit, but I think they tend to be a bit more towards the grey color than the last few photos of your model.
I could just be the colors on my monitor, but maybe the brown is a bit reddish if that makes sense. Also, in the field they get very dusty and the dirt there can be somewhat yellowish grey, so maybe in final weathering the brown wil be toned down by the 'dust.'
Looks like a great build. These are the scariest looking vehicles around, especially in an urban or built-up environment. Can't wait to see it finished.

Hmmm. I didn't see the finished photos before my last post! Odd that my browser cut the last page off.
Looks much better. Like the real thing as I know that color is hard to duplicate.
