Verlinden Warmachines M113 book has some shots as well as the Squadron Signal M113 In Action book. There may be some shots on this site of some of the guys here who used to crew the beast. I know I don't have any. The TOC was a nice place to visit, but I'm glad I never had to work there.

If you mean the M577... not easy ! I spent a whole night looking for pics on the M577 on the web, and only found a few. I may still have them on my harddisk at home. I'll try to mail them to you when I get there tonight.

Please reply (or send me a PM) with your e-mail address ?

Did you know that if you steer a tank sharply, when you are too close to an M577, it leaves a swirly mark all the way down the side of the S2's vehicle?

Why yes, there is a story behind that remark...why do you ask?

AAAARH ! That can't look good on your resume !

BTW : great picture, Jack. Looks even cooler than the US version of the M577 : a lot mor"stuff" fixed to the sides. Some structural details are different too, though...
You wouldn't accidentally have a picture of the B-side of this record, would you ? I may consider to rescratch my M577 !

Hey Cap...
Have you got any more shots from other angles? I have a 2nd kit on the shelf and you just inspired me to start on it. Thanks.

Jack !!!
That French site is superb ! It contains more pictures of the M577 than I found in a whole night of searching the web. Though I found several walk-around pics, these are the first pictures I EVER saw showing the top of an M577

These are the most interesting pics from my own harvest. Two pictures show the M577 inside, and there's a picture of the power generator (I think it is for the M577, at least it looks a lot like it !). I mostly like the one in the (Texas?) desert : look how well the MERDC colours make it blend into the terrain !

WARNING ! For technical reasons, I had to post these pictures on someone else's webspace. They will probably be kicked out soon. If you need these pictures, copy them to your own hard disk, and do it fast!

Sorry I posted a PMMS picture. I'd rather show the link to their own site, but I think they already moved the picture from there : I can't find it anymore.

HOWDY TANKERS and TANKETTES !!

For the person who wants it, I have an original copy of the M113 Series "DASH 10" manual that shows and tells EVERYTHING you could possibly want to know about these fine machines. I TC'd one for 5 years and know them INTIMATELY.. much better than SOME WOMEN I've met in the past.

Drop me a line and we'll talk !!

Jack,
Do you know by any chance if the IDF is using the M577 with the armor like the Zelda?

as far as I know, m577 is used without any addition of "toga" armor

THe IDF M577 are used with out toga. They are primarily used as battery fire control tracks. they were also used for RPV control vehicles. to my understanding there are only about 250 of the vehicles in IDF service.
