I have been busy lately with work and not much time for modelling....took out the Tamiya T34/76 Chtz and King Tiger from Dragon....after a few weeks of assembly during the weekend, I got the Tamiya kit done....Still working on the Dragon King Tiger....hopefully can get it assemble in a couple of weeks....long weekend coming here in Singapore and I hope I can find time to spray it....

But I have to say, the Dragon King tiger kit was super in fitting and given it's price..it also came with PE set....mind you, this is my first 1/35 Dragon kit and I got hook....over this weekend, I went out and bought (without thinking) :

1) Panzer IV Ausf E Vorpanzer
2) Panzer IV Ausf E
3) Jag Tiger....(Just booked it over the phone this afternoon)....
4) Trumpeter LAV-25....

Man, I burned a big hole in my wallet this weekend but I think for the next half a year, I don't need to buy anymore model kit...

I now really wonder if I ever want to go back to those early trumpeter kit...which was my favourite because of the price.....well,....when I am low on cash....maybe....

The T34/76 Chtz all prime.....most likely it will be cold snow wash but not sure how chippy I can make this into...

The King tiger with it's awesome look.....man, I now understand now why every AFV modeller must built at least one Tiger tank....

My next constuction will be the Trumpeter LAV-25...will be my test vehicle for camo since it will be my first time trying camo....  Don't want to paint damage the King tiger ...

That metal barrel in the first KT pic looks very imposing. Almost a shame to paint it !
PE looks good too. Don't worry about the wallet. Think of the fun you will have :-) :-)

There is just something cool looking about an unpainted model with the PE and metal barrell. Very Clean looking.

I have thought about building some kits without the paint for a display item.

the tamiya t34 looks good... did you add any AM to it or is just OOB? what did you use for the primer?

... and don't worry about the hole in the wallet, collecting kits can be just as fun as building them... he he...

They both look good so far, that metal barrel does look really cool.
By the way, wallets are supposed to have a big burn hole in them when you go kit shopping!

Have fun

I agree Mike. Every time I see a build with a great photoetch job, conversion etc. I always think it is such a shame to cover it with paint,,,,but then again the finished products are always so wonderfull. Guess we all just want to have our cake and eat it too. Another reason why I think digital photography is getting to go hand in hand with modeling.
