I have several WW2 Russian tanks in progress, but this Trumpeter KV-2 is the first I have photos of. Built OOTB. Undercoat is standard grey primer. Since its a monochrome paint scheme I went with rattlecans: 1st color coat was Tamiya TS-61 NATO Green; then a light spraying of TS-28 Olive Drab. After several days drying, I did a burnt umber oil wash (first time I've used oils), followed by dry-brushing with Model Master Russian Green acyrlic. I didn't realize I had grabbed an acrylic at the time.
Anyway, this is the left side:
Front:
Right side:
And rear:
Going to be putting on the tracks (Friuls) next, then weathering. Haven't decided yet how weathered.
Suggestions and comments welcome. This will be my first completed model in twenty years!

Hi Dan
First off, welcome to the site, and secondly congrats on tackling your first model in 20 years. Your Trump KV-2 is a good kit, that appears to be cleanly constructed.
This brute appears to have a bit of gloss to it at this time, but I'm sure that will tone down once you've weathered it up some.
Please keep us posted as you complete your KV.
