Just found this feature, but am curious to know more about it. What does it do exactly?

I believe you can select a particular type of modeling such as "armor" and it will direct you to that particular page when you log in. You can still access everything else, but that will be your starting point.

Mark has it right - when you log in and have a focus set the front page will be totally comprised of content from that area. As mentioned you can still get everywhere else simply by clicking the focus link at the very top or by clicking the 'all xxx' link.

It would be far better for users to simply use the URL of the site they prefer seeing. The only value to the focus selection at this point is the dial-up version.

I will likely disable the focus system in the near future as some of the cookie functions in it are not working as planned.
