Gents. Does anyone know if anyone out there makes 1/35th Photo-etched German Panzer Rhomboids ? Maybe Eduard, Aber, or Voyager ?
These were small thin metal metal plates, in a rhombic shape, usually painted black with 3-digit numbers in white. They were often seen on both pre-WWII and early-war German tanks (Pz I's, Pz II's, Pz III's, and esp Pz IV's). Alot of wartime photos of Poland 1939, and France & Low Countries in 1940, show them.
Perhaps they are included in normal PE sets for these vehicles ? I was looking to see if anyone knew if they were availible in a PE set of its own ?
Thanks a million !
Cheers !!

Hi,
I don't know if they are in a photo etch set.... I know they are included in the photo etch set for the CMK 35t command tank. but to get then you have to buy the kit...
You can go to the eduard or abber web site and see what is in the kits... they both have their kit instructions on line. I always check them out before I buy a set.

Can't you simply make the rhomboid plates out of thin evergreen? Looking at my own photographs I have at home it simply is a flat rhombic shaped plate with the numbers just painted on. In my opinion this is really easy to make.

I believe "Elefant" also made a set.
