white vinegar ???

hey

i have heard that you can use white vinegar to set decals on uneven surfaces - is that true ???.and if it is how do you apply it before or after decal goes on the surface.

I think you are right. In fact if you smell your decal set or micro-set- it smells very suspicously like vinegar..

I have heard stories thats what it is

I am not sure, my micro-set works great, but when I attempted to use testors decal set (which smells like straight vinegar) It works like crap??? Best thing to do is give it a try with vinegar on a piece of scrap plastic with an old decal.

It's the Acetic acid (contained in the vinegar) which softens the decal media. I remember that we used it quite a lot to soften the pics when I used to develop my ones when I was a kid before passing them in the machine that gave them a glossy surface...
