Greetings all,

Just looking on PMMS and came across a company called Tasca/Bego. Anyone know anything about them? They have a 1/35 M4 Sherman shown for release in 2006 and just wondered if there might be anymore details on the company or the kit.

Cheers

Tasca/Bego entered the scene with a 1/35 scale Kubelwagen that was boxed by Hasegawa and also by Dragon. Very nice kit. They then did the PzKpfw II Ausf. L "Luchs", another superb model. That one was reissued with some additional detailing as a late Luchs too.

Hi Alan. Yeah they've been talking aboput this sherman for well over a year. Judging by their previous releases it should be excellent and also very expensive. They also do a very detailed early and late suspension set for the Sherman, which is about half the price of a full DML Sherman

Greeting all,

Thanks for that gentlemen. Sounds like it might be an impressive kit if and when it arrives.

Pat, thanks for the link.

Hmmmm, a replacment for the Tamiya M4 after all these years. Have to wait and see what happens.

Thanks again.

Cheers

Al

Whoa! They look nice... The link mentions individual arm working suspension, by way of 'thin sponge sheets' ???? They are inserted to adjust the height of the bogeys apparently. How does this work?

Bradley, the "thin sponge sheets" are more like thin rubber sheets, and when stacked together they act somewhat like a spring so that the individual bogie arms work independantly of the other arm. Each set also includes sprocket and idler wheels, as well as a couple of choices of road wheels. As has already been mentioned they are very nice and truely a kit unto themselves. (think along the lines of the recent Dragon and Tristar Panzer IV suspension sets) Here are a couple of pics of some I used for a Firefly IC.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Very impressive, anyone know if they have a UK dealer?

If the rest of the kit is like that it will be awsome.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Cheers

I bought a whole bunch of these and use them on my M4 projects. I've tried them on the Tamiya M4, DML Firefly Ic, Vc (new) kits.
