hi all
the old question...is the mm 1706 paint the right color for the us sand?
I mixed this paint with white(1:1) and the color is more like on the photos than the oryginal in the bottle...after drying (...it will be something darker).
is any another paint type on the market which could be used for this sand camo type?
thanks in advance for any respnse!

MM Sand, 1706, FS 33531 is an exact match for modern CARC Sand on modern US vehicles. Lighting conditions, camera angle, etc. may make it look lighter in pictures, but it is the correct paint.

Thanks a lot for the information Gino.
Some weeks ago I saw a new MM bottle at my favourite hobby shop, it's called U.S Gulf War Sand (or something similar... I don't remember). If you know this shade, what do you think about it?
Cheers

US Army/Marines Gulf Armor Sand is based on a non-standard color that was bought locally in Saudi Arabia for ODS ('90-'91) to quickly paint vehicles as they arrived in green and camo paint from US and European units. It is darker than current sand and was only used in ODS.
