Well here is my entry, but I'm not quite done...just ran out of time...... too many projects etc. etc..... still to do more weathering and lots of shells.
I wanted to play around with the green colours of the boat, uniforms etc. just to see how they faded, aged etc, kinda worked. Not to happy with the figs they may be redone and the painting style ( a new one for me, wasn't one I was happy with)
I may even change the whole thing to a guy watersking ( yep, I found a couple of photos!) and call it Surfin' Safari....
Comments and critques always welcome

Are the gunners part of the Tamiya kit? If not where did you get them? I can envision that scene in Apocolypse Now where they get attacked from shore and are rocking and rolling against the shoreline

Hi Alan,
Yes, they are part of the Tamiya kit but the sculpting is a little weird, the proportions seem a little off somehow, oversize hands and big heads. A better painter than myself could make them probably look pretty good

Inside the wheelhouse are some Playboy centerfolds ( as well as some maps!) that I scanned. I managed to find a site that had vintage playboy centrefolds from the '60's and so the ones I scanned are from '67, '68 and '69, I also scanned in some Playboy covers as well. I will eventually try and get some covers from "Hot Rod" magazine in as well.

Looking good!!! I just love this boat (as all the other Brown Water craft). Did you use Eduard's set for this PBR? The skiing guy would be great!

Hi Mark,
Yes I did use the Eduard set. I used about 50% of it ( isn't that always the case!), alot of the Eduard is devoted to the forward '50s and the stern panels.
I'm kind of leaning towards the waterskier right now as it might be more interesting than a guns blazing away PBR.... 'll be rethinking this one for sure.
Thanks for the comments

Pete she looks great, love the coloring and fading job. You did a great job on the angle of attack, you did you cut the hull so straight. I assume your doing a water dio…what will you be using for the water.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the comments. She still needs some more work and as yet I really haven't decided if /what it will be....guns blazing or watersking on the delta waterway.....
The angle was done by eyeballing but I was flipping through the book by MIG called FAQ, and I saw a photo of how he does a waterline, his way is much more precise than mine (and a lot less hassle too I bet!)
As far as the water material, I have no idea...
Thanks again
