Today I proudly present something rare. Firstly it's not an armor you see very often, and secondly it's my own work! - The 2S6M "Tunguska" 1:72 from Military Wheels. This kit took me a day and two nights to complete. It is one of the so-called "short run technology" kits which means its plastic molding quality is the worst type imaginable! There are flashes on every part and the parts fit very poorly if at all.
Building this kit is a real nightmare - not recommended at any costs! I have no airbrush so I hand-painted it with Tamiya's acrylic colors that I still have in stock. I painted Dark Yellow, Flat Green, Flat Black, Gun Metal and White respectively. After that I washed it with Raw Amber oil color mixed lightly with pine oil which served as a weathering process. I hope people won't get eyesore looking at this :

Hey Falcon,
Wow... finally build something of your own! I'm very happy for ya!
I too build my fairshare of crappy models. But hey! It's done!
Like I said before, nothin' wrong with collecting built models but the feeling of finish one on your own just can't compare!

Hi, WC,
I made mistake with filenames so the pics wouldn't show for the first few minutes. You're real fast to response! I still like to build myself from time to time however poor the output will be. ;-)

Hi Phaisal,
very interesting subject indeed ands I feel your pain :-) :-)
Your pain is a bit glossy but maybe does this comes fro mthe light condition during the photo session.
I hope one will be released in 1/35 sooner or later. I mean a plastic one as 5star models has one in resin.

Many thanks for your kind comments, William and Olivier! I'll try to do better the next time I build. Maybe I should get myself an airbrush and compressor.
I too hope that the Tunguska will be released in 1:35 plastic kit soon, I sure wanna build one myself.

Considering you do not usually build models, I think it looks very good for 1/72 scale. Yes, an airbrush would help, but you would have to do a lot of practice before you could do 1/72 scale well. Nothing wrong with what you did.
And I too hope for a 1/35 kit in plastic!

Looks very good? You're too kind, Jacques! I thought it was funny and I wanted you all to have some fun looking at it. In the past I used Tamiya's Spraywork for some time but it broke down long ago.
