They have 3 sets- IDF, US-Vietnam and US-Modern
I don't have the sets and can't make out the pics. How accurate are the are their US-Modern version? Compared to the pics of US tank crews in Iraq..Royal Model's IDF microphones seems closer in type, compared to their US-Modern version.
Since the Iraq campaign, have the US Army and Marines been issued with different or upgraded versions of both the CVC helmets and micrphones?

Nick,
I have these sets and the US Modern Sets are very accurate to the older type CVC's.
Yes, there has been an upgrade to the CVC's If you go to PrimePortal, I uploaded some pictures of the Army's new BOSE CVC with the single mike boom. I can't remember who, but some one here shared pictures of the Marine version wich isn't much different just with some added stuff.

Hi Pete
when you say "older" type CVC's--are those used in OIF? If so which period?
Saw your pics on primeportal, those are great if anyone wants to scratch some.
Thanks

Both types of CVC's are being used, just depends on the unit. Here with the Texas National Guard, I've seen both types come through our shop. Gino can tell you better on the 3rd ID Mike Mummy can tell you on the Marine side. Even Rob can tell you what he see's around Ft. Knox.

These are from Mike Mummey. they are of the new USMC CVC helmet with a older, 3 color desert cover. The white blotch on the one shot is some personal information that was removed.

So that makes three types Nick: the older type Army one with the type of mike represented by the Royal Model set, the newer BOSE type as in my pictures and the Marine type here in Mike's picture.

Thank you guys! One last question, are the insides of the 3 types of helmets different...specifically in 1/35 scale. If so, any photos?

I don't think in 1/35 it would make a big difference, it's just the outside of the earphones and the mikes that is very noticable.
I think I had taken a picture of the inside of the BOSE CVC?
