I got the T34/76 base coat done and decide to experiment with it before I start to white wash it....

For this round, I did not use pre-shading...only post shading.... found that that if I used post shading only, there is not as much depth as compare to using both pre and post shading....

1) I tried to have do rain-mark using air-brush then I realize my-airbrush is not fine enough to do that...and the mark came out quite thick....learn something my air-brush....

2) then try to do rain mark using oil and turpentine....results is un-even....and very bad....paint brush mark is very visible.... will never do that again...

3) Was successful with the decal....the sliver lining in my KV1 problem was solved...now the marking looks like it is painted on instead of a decal....

Anyone has a good suggestion to do rain mark that looks real ?

As usual, comments are always welcome...

went on and add in the snow wash and paint chips.....I think the paint chip is way out of scale for this one.....man.....paint chips make me chippys...spoil my long weekend ....I used liquid mask for the paint chip...it is much harder to control than paint brush chip....well...that's for me only....

will spray the semi-gloss and do some really heavy weathering to try to make the paint chip to scale....

Looks like it's coming along nicely. I like your paint chipping effect.

there is a technique wich will look very in-scale. You should take a piece of fine dishwashing sponge , tap it in base color of the tank and then touch the model in places where you want the chips. That technique creates fine little chips, and it was described (invented?) by Coca.

Here is an update....after wasing it with burnt umber ....got the rain mark that I wants but....

The paint chip is really bothering me because it is very out of scale.....

I will re-do this model again...basecoat it again in green and start this all over again...hopefully the previous decal will not show...
